Andrew Judah – https://andrewjudah.com/
A fearless and meticulous songwriter and composer, Andrew Judah’s diverse sound is strung together by a love of evolving cinematic orchestrations and bittersweet melodies. Piecing together what others might dismiss as incompatible sounds, he has found a way to employ familiar, organic instruments with warped analog textures. The arrangements are playful and exploratory, with subtle rhythmic complexities. All of this diversity in sound is held together by a single thread, Andrew’s voice.
Art d’Ecco Music – https://
As the sun rises on Art d’Ecco’s critically acclaimed debut album Day Fevers (YourFace Records, 2016) the confluence of sound and spun themes of desire and isolation swirl amidst the foray of 70s era glam, neo-psychedelia and Krautrock rhythms. Written during a three year stint in the Gulf Islands of BC, and produced by Vancouver’s Jason Corbett (Jacknife Sound), d’Ecco has taken the Day Fevers record to the live stage where androgyny and theatrics collide taking audiences to stranger places. A bizarre portrayal of what happens when one is left to their own devices in the window-less room of mother nature.
The unofficial History of Techno, as per El Garzita, is a neon-infused recount of banging discotecas’ anthems from seaside towns around the world. True vintage nightclub music only; this is San Remo, Viña del Mar, and Acapulco’s early 80’s nocturnal soundtrack. Androgynous is the look and synths are kings, so let these 808 beats shake your shoulder pads while your aqua-net soaked bangs stand tall and proud. Vamos a la Playa!
